The Generator

When the generator stops generating,
     The power tools are silenced.

When the power tools are silenced,
The tongue and groove is not cut.

When the tongue and groove is not cut,
     The polyurethaning ceases.

When the polyurethaning ceases,
     The walls no longer rise.

When the walls no longer rise,
     Cabin progress becomes still.

When cabin progress becomes still,
Bill and Sue take more time to play.

When Bill and Sue take more time to play,
     Ahhhhh - restoration!

Could the generator stopping,
Be God's good plan all along?

Hmmmm.

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD..."
Jeremiah 29:11

The Sanctuary

The inspiration for this poem came from the popular children's book, If You Give a Mouse a Cookie, by Laura Numeroff that I've read to my GRANDS many times.

V-A-C-A-T-I-O-N

Life has caught up.
Adrenaline is used up.
The stress of the Black Forest and its aftermath has left me needing to catch up—physically, spiritually, emotionally.
In June I thought perhaps I needed to take a break from posting on Echoes in the weeks after the fire, not so. Now is the time.
Echoes of Grace will return in September.
“Time is a great story-teller.”
Irish proverb
“Be still and know that I am God,”Psalm 46:10
